Full price tickets (£10.00 single & £15.00 double) will be available by post
after May 16th, and will also be on sale at the door. Don't forget to collect your souvenir wristband.

It’s Bank Holiday Sunday, and we’ve all got a very special PARTICULAR PLACE TO GO – to the Polish Club in Amersham for the 2017 Duane Eddy Circle Convention!!!
It’s going to be difficult to squeeze in everything that has happened over the last twelve months, plus taking a few glimpses at archive material, but we promise to do our very best to bring you a Convention to remember. And at an unbeatable price because everyone will receive a £3.00 voucher to redeem at Malcolm & Julian’s Circle Shop – so buy an Early Bird Ticket, spend £3.00 (or hopefully more!!) at the Circle Shop, reclaim your voucher and bingo, the Convention will have cost you £3.00; and it’s only £2.00 if you come with a friend sharing a double Early Bird Ticket!!!

Jim & I are still working on the programme, but we will be including lots of coverage of the NAMM Convention, with Fred Gretsch presenting Duane with his award, excerpts from the many interviews that Duane gave during the day, and above all, some of Duane’s set from the very special “invitation-only” concert that took place the evening before the event. As ever, Ron was in superb form on sax and one highlight will surely be Duane teaming up with Jeff Beck for an encore performance of HARD TIMES. One number is likely to eclipse even this – a unique performance of KOMMOTION with Duane playing his new Gretsch 6-string bass guitar!! Look out too for the Circle’s tribute to Chuck Berry, during which we will feature Duane’s memories of his friend. Also from the past few months, look out for Duane’s collaborations with Steve Wariner, Chrissie Hynde and The Devil Makes Three – tracks that differ very much from each other and illustrate just how flexible Duane’s guitar can be, adding a touch of magic to every one of these tracks.
As you will know from my e-mails, Duane has also added his unique sound to the new album by Dan Auerbach – this is not scheduled for release until June 2nd; we will try to get our hands on a copy of Duane’s contribution, but no promises on that!! But we can promise you the return of MASTERMIND and our ever-popular raffle!! Prizes this year will include items autographed by Duane “Especially For You”, a framed ROAD TRIP poster, a rare promo copy of YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE, an Italian vocal 45 and CDs! And this year I’m going to cut the number of questions in the quiz to just 15 easy ones (and the final question will be “your name”) so 2017 might well be “Your Year”!!!

Having tackled the Amersham Rugby Tots to the ground (and boy did they put up a fight!!) Jim has secured our booking at the Polish Club in Amersham on Whit-Sunday (May 28th) for the 2017 Circle Convention, assuming there is no nuclear war, a plague or anything else beyond our control.
This year, we are making a special offer on advance tickets as it makes everything so much easier on the day if you have a pre-paid ticket – we don’t have to weigh ourselves down with bags of change and you don’t need to queue, so you can go directly to the Circle Shop and cash in your discount voucher, or stop off at the bar; I’m sorry but your discount voucher won’t work at the bar!! I know only too well (thinking oysters) that at the last minute something “can come up” that means you have bought an Early Bird ticket but can’t come on the day – if that happens, just return your tickets & voucher (but be sure to post them no later than 27th May) & I’ll refund your payment.

but expect lots from NAMM!!
